We’ve already processed and mailed out more than 1650 books and I’m still not convinced it’s happening.” Bill Ewing, the author, is just relieved that the principles contained in the book can now be widely distributed. “We’ve been counseling tired, discouraged and broken people one-on-one for decades. With the Travel Guide recently back from the printer, the production phase for the Rest Assured project is now complete. “It’s taken longer than we planned, as usual,” said Bill Ewing, the Founder and CEO of Christian Life Ministries. “But we are excited nonetheless. The response to the book has been so positive. Now we can focus on getting it out into people’s hands.” Rest Assured and the Rest Assured Travel Guide are now available in money saving packs, making these life changing tools available at reasonable cost to individuals and small groups. “It’s such a relief to finally have this available,” said Todd Hillard, one the Travel Guide’s authors. “We have had constant requests for this type of a package, something that has both the principles of the book and the application of the guide.” What’s next? “We are looking at audio versions and possibly even a music CD,” says Bill Ewing, the projects principle author. “As musicians read this stuff, many are sitting down and writing songs. I’ve been given an assortment of a dozen or more songs that were inspired by Rest Assured. It would be great to make that available some day. It would be a whole new angle for sharing the message of God’s grace.” |

Todd Hillard is looking forward to going through Rest Assured and the Travel Guide for himself. “We’ve been immersed in this project for years, trying to get it out for churches, counseling agencies and individuals. Now that that’s done, I need to go back and read it for myself,” he said. “The Travel Guide contains a lot of fresh, concise material, more verses to study, places for deep introspection and some very thought provoking questions. I’m looking forward to sitting down with it and see how I will answer.” |
